The Exception

 - He's not my usual type, he's the...exception! -

When you come across the exception in your life, you are in for a dramatic experience.

The exception is never going to be the status quo.  You will look alive.  You will see things through fresh eyes.

The exception will be your path toward appreciation of something different.

The exception is the unique calling, person, place, opportunity that is meant just for you.

It will challenge you, fulfill you, and make you so much more tomorrow than you were yesterday.

The exception is a jewel in your life path.  When you find it, pluck it up, shine it, hone it, and display it proudly in your crown.  Never hide it away like a secret.  Acknowledge it as an important part of your life.

The exception is your private, personal plan for growth, love, success, enlightenment, self-actualization!  You will walk away from it, but it is your destiny.  The next time you have your chance with this precious jewel, don't waste it!

Journalism

Journalism has failed us, not just in the US when the news media refused to report on the obvious corruption and utter incompetence of one candidate while failing to expose the lies told about the other.  They failed to treat the Presidential election as the serious matter it is.  Instead of properly  informing us, they chose to treat the 2016 election as entertainment.

Now that they realize the gravity of a situation they helped cause, the news media is fighting back, hard.  They are doubling-down to expose their enemy because now their business is threatened by the corrupt leadership they did nothing to expose!  Too late! The time for truth was before the election!

This is actually a global problem, journalism is now a bought-and-sold commodity.  Hard news is only offered when there is a profit in it.  The integrity in today's news is bastardized by greed.

Gone are the days when our news media fought to be the first and the best to bring the public to awareness of national and international news.

Shamefully, the only way some people get their story told nowadays is through social media.

Here is the story that was recently brought to my attention about the horrific conditions that are just being ignored by the media in a less lucrative part of the world.  Take a look at the people of Yemen, a poor neighbor of Saudi Arabia.  The deaths each year of thousands of helpless people are being ignored by the western world because our journalism is completely capitalist (or based on profit) and no longer concerned with integrity.  The corruption and violence in that part of the world has silenced the press.  Because what goes on there has little or no effect on our western economy, we hear nothing of these horrors!

Shame on this once honorable profession for its utter failure to inform and protect our society.  An ignorant people are soon to be a captive and defenselessness nation.  Read about what it is like to be a victim when the whole world isn't looking.  Then maybe you will see what our future will be when our reporters turn a blind eye to truth!

Controlling Anger

We learn that when you hurt someone you love, you hurt yourself, and the wound is 10 times greater.

Sometimes we do this by accident.

Sometimes we are angry.

We express anger and later wish we could take back our angry words.

The karmic value of uncontrolled anger is far greater than a mistake.

You have now knowingly inflicted a wound.

Your pain will be delivered in the regret of knowing the harm you caused, especially when you realize your anger was unjustified.  When your love is lost, how deep will the wound be then?

‘There are three gates leading to this hell--lust, anger and greed. Every sane man should give these up, for they lead to the degradation of the soul.’ Krishna - Bhagavad Gita

The Controllers

Neither the celestial controllers nor the great sages know My origin because I am the origin of celestial controllers and great sages also. (10.02)

The Bhagavad Gita

Part of the hidden order of the universe involves these celestial controllers.  They are part of a hierarchy or brotherhood of consciousness, conscious beings of light. (Also see ACIM)

In the level just above the human superego, they are now known as the Collective, apparently having adopted the term from the renowned psychiatrist Carl Jung and his work with the collective unconscious.

Their knowledge is supernatural and their power over the mind is overwhelming.  Rather than crush our consciousness, they hide behind the veil of consciousness.

I had met them many years ago when they made several exceedingly rare appearances in my life, due to what they termed an emergent situation, or in my words, a crisis.  They used words I did not know, and predicted a future I did not want, but did not remember agreeing to.  So yes, I gave them some of this power, so that I could evolve spiritually.  They temporarily took over my consciousness to change my life, and I learned the power and existence of the Collective.

To this day, they have refused to explain themselves.  I am left to ponder the spiritual and life lessons.  I am left with great heartache, wondering why.  What was the value of suffering or choosing not to suffer.  The choice they made was a long-term solution to a temporary problem.

If I had faced the suffering head on, I would have seen that.  In my last life, I myself made that mistake.  My lesson was to repeat it until I learned from it.

True Colors

We see our true colors when we are not looking.

The world is your mirror.

Make a note of what you see.

Do you see: that heavy woman, the old man, the rude child, the suspicious stranger?

Do you see her untidy home, his sloppy clothes, do you not like their speech or accents?

Is your work annoying, demeaning, is your boss mean?

Do you see the negative side of others?

These are all forms of judgement.

What you see is never about what's out there.  It's always about your mirror.

You cannot see anything in a vacuum.  You cannot observe without being part of the observation.

This is a fact of consciousness that has been observed in the lab (physics lab)

You like or dislike because you have a preformed opinion.

It's always really about you.

Take another look at that woman.  Can you see more than her weight and clothes now?  Can you see she carries the weight of the world on her shoulders.  She worries about her children, her parents, her job.  She needs your blessing as she continues with her day.  Do you see into her heart?  Why not?  Why have you lost the ability to see others?  It is because you gaze into a mirror.

You see your expectations, your preferences, your judgements.  You no longer look at all.

You think I am speaking to you?  I speak to me.

Your judgements are not about those you see.  They are your true colors.

How to Let it Go

Imagine your anger is a demon.  Picture a little red devil, if you will.

When you vent and complain, you speak to it, it gets larger and meaner.  Now picture a larger, more frightening demon.  Maybe he breathes fire 🔥 and hulks over you, glowering.

You decide to release it and you feel better.  Your anger rushes off, an influx of cool air greets you, cooler emotions take over.

Now, where do you think the demon went?

This is where the unseen karma enters your life.

Your demon is listening carefully to your last words.  How did you release it?  If you spoke out any form of negativity, it will carry out your last words, viciously.

If you decide to end a relationship, it will literally cut someone loose, and the blow may be physical or mental but it will be severe.  Your demon has a form in the mental and spiritual reality that exists beneath and behind the facade of material existence.

Not only does it exist, but this is your demon and you released it.  You own it's karma.  It's energy must be spent, and again, it is you who created and released the demon.

It does not absolve you merely because you do not realize or remember this.  Thus life seems so random when it is not.

Those who think they understand cause and effect, they must think again.

Here is a little story I copied on the subject of anger:

From: TheDailyEnlightenment.com Weekly 21/04/05:
On one occasion, the Buddha was invited by the Brahmin Bharadvaja for alms to his house. As invited, the Buddha visited the house of the Brahmin. Instead of entertaining Him, the Brahmin poured forth a torrent of abuse with the filthiest of words. The Buddha politely inquired:
"Do visitors come to your house, good Brahmin?"
"Yes," he replied."What do yu do when they come?""Oh, we prepare a sumptuous feast.""What do you if they refuse to receive the meal?""Why, we gladly partake of them ourselves.""Well, good Brahmin, you have invited me for alms and entertained me with abuse which I decline to accept. So now it belongs to you."From the Akkosa Sutta
The Buddha did not retaliate but politely gave back what the Brahmin had given Him. Retaliate not, the Buddha advised. "Hatred does not cease through hatred but through love alone they cease."

I have seen the negative thoughts, emotions and energy and felt their blows.  I have unwittingly released the anger and witnessed its effects, all seemingly disconnected from me - only on the surface of reality.  And I have seen and understand the blowback from the extreme negative karma generated by anger.

Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.

To you, I advise, never feed the anger.  And once you recognize it, never release it.  Transform that little demon into a kinder gentler being.  Speak love unto him and watch him blush pink.  Give him a flower and shine the light into him.  Never let him go until he is a kind thought or a good deed.

Change

What to do when you do not know how to respond to a situation.

Is a decision immediately required?

Does it have to be your decision?

Ask yourself these questions.

Ask for more information.

Ask for more time.

Never let life rush you or rush past you.

If life comes to you with urgency, you will be anxious to provide a quick solution.

This is your moment, and it may well be a pivotal moment in your life.

Seize it!  Do not let it run away with your future.

Take the time, because it is your moment, to make the right choice.

Once you release the moment, the change is out of your hands.

Staying Positive

When you're the boss, your mood affects everyone.  You have to learn to manage that.

When you're not the boss, it's easy to feel disempowered.

In many ways, we feel overwhelmed by our world, our society, our jobs, friends, government, school...

When faced with the perceived lack of control over our lives, the environment is ripe for depression, frustration, even anger.

First, realize you're not alone.  Most people have the same problem.

Some people have really extreme problems, and from them we learn the core truth about personal empowerment.

What happens in your mind is the center of your truth.  Your thoughts are your kingdom, and you must never give up control of your mind.

When wrongfully imprisoned, the strongest people learn that there is one thing they can still control, their mind.  They learn to live mentally, and stay alert for the day when they will be free from tyranny.

Without that harsh lesson, we make the mistake of looking outside ourselves for fulfillment.  We allow the failures of the world and our society to become our disappointments.  We live and die on the waves of an ocean of the world's drama.

The inner mind cannot reach the center of calm when you will not be still.

Solitude brings that enlightenment to some people.  For others, it is a practice of meditation, learning to still the mind.

Look around you.  You have many good things.  Can you count them?  Yes, there is loss, but have you gained from it?  Have you learned empathy from the sorrow of lost love?  Do you understand what it feels like to be starving, because you've been there?  What did your suffering teach you?  What good can you do in the world with this knowledge?

Now that you have looked inside, look out there again.  How can you raise up those around you?  Maybe that would make you happy.

The Kiss of Judas

Judas must you betray me with a kiss?

Somehow, I don't think Jesus was Intolerant.

Think of the affection between these men, and the pain of losing their friendship.

Love one another as I have loved you.

These were his words to his disciples.

There was no homophobia.  There was no shaming.

There was acceptance, love, and faith.

There was forgiveness.

There was compassion.

Do unto one another as you would have done unto you.

Judas is the man Jesus called friend.  He was called upon by God to do the most difficult job of all save Jesus himself.  Without that betrayal, the story could not come to its gripping end.  He suffered with it, and harder to comprehend than love between two men, is the love that would cause one man to sacrifice for another.

Jesus knew his end from the beginning.

Why any God would ask such a sacrifice is as incomprehensible as why any man would make it.  Yet love is the answer.  For love and with love all things are possible.
