The Reality of Pain

It's a message. The body's pain is relayed by messengers to the brain. It's a system designed to alert you to danger. It's not a punishment. Its physical, not moral.

The emotional body's pain sometimes is relayed and experienced through physical symptoms. This is the well-known mind-body connection.

Controlling the messengers controls the pain. Some medicines do this by blocking the receptors so your brain stops receiving the body's messages of pain. Other medicines or drugs do this by divorcing your brain from its emotions, or suppressing chemicals the body produces during times of anxiety, grief, or depression. The drugs attempt to regulate what you feel.

The fact is your reality is what you can feel. If you don't perceive it, it isn't real for you. This is more than a neat trick of science. It is the tip of the iceberg of our reality.

Sickness, or disease (dis ease) is a state of unrest. The universe is a manifestation of the collective consciousness. Attempting to control it is futile and exhausting. Recognizing your own point in it is your only safe harbor. Drop anchor and center the self within the sea of consciousness. It will move about you harmlessly for you no longer engage. Reality becomes something you observe and engage at will.

Every thought in the universe abounds around you. You engage only the thoughts and ideas you want. The others you let float away. Your reality is of your choosing.

Every manifestation of consciousness is there for you to engage and make it real, to you. Or you can choose to remain centered and not engage.

The pain is when you are dis eased. When you play with the universe, it plays back. When you fight it, you have taken on a massive giant.

The pain is what makes it real to you. Nobody will ever convince you it is an illusion when it hurts. The pain messengers convince you of reality. It's real because my senses tell me it is real. When your senses can be played with so easily, then reality is just a matter of perception. Reality is individual, subjective and inconstant.

You control that when you control You.

Here is the power of the I AM.

This is a statement about your reality. It declares your kingdom. It affirms your rulership (ruler ship) over your life, your experience, your reality. Your mind is the captain of that ship. It makes the rules. I AM is an affirmation of that power.

I AM healthy. I AM well. I AM happy.

Your ship has dropped anchor, the I AM anchor, and the waves of temporal reality will wash around you. You will observe them. So long as you are mindful that you are the captain of the ship, you will select the flow and wind that matches your destination before you raise anchor and raise your sails again.

The pain is a message. You have mentally or physically engaged in a negative situation and made it real to you. The captain in rough seas will get to port, or find a safe harbor, drop anchor and save the ship. The most experienced captain avoids the storms.

Pain is a message. It means you have made something real, or engaged something. If you are sick, dis eased, it may be a message from your inner consciousness, something that you have cleverly blocked, telling you that you are unhappy. Many times physical ailments are symbols of psychological wounds. Our world is a manifestation of consciousness. This is not a surprise. Now that you have gotten your attention, what are you trying to tell you?

Are you sick of a certain situation? Is it time to drop anchor or set sail?
